Love Jihad in Uttarakhand? Hindu residents in the Uttarkashi area of Uttarakhand are protesting as new instances of love jihad keep happening there. A case of purported love jihad was reported from the mountainous town of Purola in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Two males from one group made an attempt to kidnap a Hindu girl. On Friday, May 26, 2023, one of them was apprehended in Purola. Locals are furious about the situation because they see it to be a forced conversion.
